On Summer Blooms

The plumeria in our backyard made it through the freeze this year.
Somehow… the plant seems to be doing better than it did last year.

Summer is coming fast, as its blooms keep reminding me. I know I’ll be fishing the leaves out of the pool soon enough. But for now, I can’t help but just take in the summer’s abundance.

Which brings me to perhaps the oddest quote pairing you’ve seen here in a while… from none other than comedian Jim Carrey (yes that one):
